National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) Summer 2011
* Two Weeks Backpacking Program Led by three Stanford Graduate Students with a mission goal and emphasis on Leadership, Team Building, Communication, Executive Planning and Execution Skills.
* Instituto de Cultura Y Lengua Costarricense (ICLC) Summer 2009
* Three weeks attending ICLC, a Costa Rican English/Spanish College, and living with a local host family. The family and school did not allow the use of English or could not use English, with the objective being for immersion into both the Costa Rican, Spanish language and culture.
* Haiti St. Lukes Foundation
o This program was through the St. Luc’s foundation and based at the clinic called Manitane clinic. They screen for cervical cancer with VIA (visual inspection with acetic acid) and if abnormal, treat with Cryotherapy.
o We traveled with a team of physicians from World Health where I aimed to assist in any way shape or fashion I could, per usual.
